Karen Nguyen is a visual artist, educator, writer, and award-winning entrepreneur. She is the founder of Inspired Art Wine, an art studio, wine bar, and gallery in Costa Mesa, California. After earning both her Bachelor’s degree and MBA from the University of California, Irvine, Karen built a successful career in high tech before following her passion for entrepreneurship and the arts.
A multi-passionate entrepreneur by nature, Karen has created a family of brands centered on her mission to educate, entertain, and inspire: Inspired Art Wine, Inspired Somm, and Inspired Vineyards. Since 2016, her businesses have welcomed more than 40,000 customers and 250 corporate clients through art and wine experiences, while she has taught more than 20,000 students in acrylic, oil, watercolor, and mixed media at her studio.
Karen is equally passionate about creating and sharing art with audiences of all sizes and backgrounds. Her paintings are intuitive and expressive, with each piece reflecting the mood, energy, and atmosphere present during the creative process. Her signature approach is rooted in “going with the flow” while creating visual balance inspired by the movement of the ocean and the vastness of outer space.
Her work has been exhibited at the Oculus at the World Trade Center in New York City, city halls across California, John Wayne Airport, public and private corporations, homes, and art exhibitions internationally. For Karen, art is not only a form of creative expression—it is a way to connect with people, tell stories, and inspire others to pursue their own passions.
